NPAPW18 Workshop in Miami in April 2018 :
Low-latency hardware for networked performing arts
First phase of the 8KSVIP project successful
In cooperation with AV MEDIA company, we have successfully completed the first phase of an international 8KSVIP (8K Studio Over IP) project. It aims to to create an economic interconnection of computer network and SDI video interfaces with a resolution of 8K (UHD-2).
During NAB 2017, intoPIX, a leading provider of innovative compression technologies, announced new TICO compression IP-cores managing up to ultra-high-definition 8K video combined with low power consumption for FPGA and ASIC implementations. The cores offer unique performances at a very light implementation cost for handling HD, 4K and 8K content. The technology is particularly suitable for reducing bandwidth and preserving image quality without any delay in new 8K applications.
